Project’s name

ATLA VENICE BEACH

Type

Restaurants

Location

Los Angeles, CA

Concept

Atla is housed in a house built in the 1970s, consisting of two levels where the restaurant is located on the ground floor, occupying its entirety and creating a courtyard and an alley surrounded by pots and vegetation.

The architectural concept was born from replicating and bringing the Atla brand to Los Angeles, retaining specific elements from the New York restaurant to maintain the restaurant's identity. These elements include the use of finishes such as terrazzo on the bar, fabrics on benches, natural oak wood, and the same furniture for both the bar and tables. Likewise, the restaurant's character adapts to its context, reflecting Venice Beach; its beach and the vibes of this neighborhood where murals, bohemian shops, and art-filled restaurants make it an iconic place for both tourists and locals. For the restaurant, the color blue is implemented as its essence; light and dark blues on important surfaces both exterior and interior.
